Organic sea mermaid ( My Yokai)

This piece is the representation of a Japanese Yokai with a rereading in my work. Three-dimensional piece made entirely by hand bobbin lace. The materials used are linen and metal yarns. With an approximate measurement of 400mm. The Yokai are supernatural creatures and Japanese ghosts. The yokai have many faces. They can be fun and friendly but they can also be naughty, sometimes acting violently, so it's good to know them well. Mermaid in lace, is an adaptation of a Yokai that flies through the dreams of this lacemaker. A piece of contemporary bobbin lace made in volume, showing in this way the magic of the bobbin lace itself, as it can take us to other worlds.
